Their animation is fantastic but I can't get past the character design :/

Eh, yeah. Pretty much. You can knock on Horiguchi's art style all you want, but cant deny she is one of the best ADs in the business.

In my case, I love KyoAni. While I wont sing praises about their shows any time soon, I love them as a company. If people are going to throw money at something, might as well be the company with the best work ethics. Also it's an animation school, so.

It's very fluid and has a lot of energy, but the character designs bore me. :/
