I agree with you, OP. They were really cute and I thought they truly did love each other and was looking forward to how they would develop (Michael was right, Jamal loves his music more than anything, which could have also been interesting) but BAM new love interest (who doesn't really work for me but maybe I'm alone there idk). :/
