Blubs absolutely seems like the kind of guy who would do that--he may be a lazy cop, but he cares about being a good person. These two have one of my favorite TV relationships and I'm gonna be mad as hell if one (or both) of them gets killed off tonight.

Text: I headcanon that when the deputy first started out, the sheriff read a book called something like “101 Ways to Tell Your Partner You Appreciate them” and uses it to improve his self-esteem.
