You could probably make an argument re: Lavender as well, I think.

I think Lavender Brown* was supposed to like pink, and/or was simply just portrayed as rather "frivolously feminine," shall we say. But Lavender and Umbridge are nothing alike, and get negative receptions for completely different reasons.

I recently read The Cuckoo's Calling by JKR, both Lula's mom and Rochelle are pretty unsympathetic, albeit "trashy" and wear pink.
The detective also gets death threats on pink kitten paper.

Then again, the female protagonist is quite feminine.
