The fact that Peggy has an analogue ("Betty Carver") in the Cap radio show indicates that their romance is known in pop culture. Of course the show uses it contrast this Betty character with actual Peggy's actions, but still.

Right. I am in total agreement with you there.

It's just, I meant that more in the sense of how it was handled between them.

There's no "we can't be together!" drama or huge declarations of love or anything.

They're just two people who work together, support one another, and fall in love.

Even Steve's goodbye isn't some over-the-top declaration of love.

It's not like what Aragorn/Arwen or Anakin/Padmé did (or at least tried to do).
