Fleur Delacour liked pink, didn't she? And I think in the end she proved herself to be awesome. In fact if anything there was some clever commentary about internalized misogyny in the way all the women treated her.

IIRC Harry pointed out-and made a good point- that Fluer had to be talented and competent to get into the Triwizard Tournament. Because I do believe the other schools stated that they brought some of their best students.

I thought Fleur's whole storyline was pretty great.
