I think if they were going for realism though, at least one of those couples would have gotten divorced (and since they were time traveling in the episode, we could have seen that.) It was pretty obvious they wanted to go for the super saccharine happy ending though so everyone got married and had kids etc etc.

I didn't really mind it because it makes sense in terms of that show, but I also understand Op's pov of it being ridiculous when everyone gets paired up. I'm also tired of tv/movies seeming to be incapable of writing someone happy to be single.
