The same one I mentioned in the compliments thread. This woman who I haven't seen in years couldn't stop going on about how different I look. She mentioned my makeup and dimples too which cracked me up because I've had these dimples my whole life and I've been wearing makeup since middle school.

I think it boiled down to "Wow, you look so much thinner," which in itself isn't something I would hate hearing because, well, I do, but the phrasing was so awkward and made me feel terrible about myself.

Oh I hate those "you look so good and different" backhanded compliments. It really implies they didn't think you did before.

I would rather not get the compliment at all, tbh. Compliments are supposed to make you feel good about yourself, not shitty.
