Re: Best Teachers You've Had?

Two really stick in my mind. The first was my year 7 Geography teacher, Mr Howes, who just seemed to make everything really interesting and engaging. He was funny and clever, but he only stayed at the school a year, which was a huge shame.

The second one was my year 10 English teacher, Mr Batley. I always really loved his lessons because he brought the course material to life. When we studied The Crucible, since it's a play, he would get people to volunteer for roles and we would read it out instead of just reading it to ourselves.

At first, no one wanted to do this, but as time went on, we got more and more into it, so people would be stood up (some even on chairs), shouting and gesturing and it really made reading it fun. I always ended up with Abigail's part by the end. I liked doing it and the rest of the class said I was always the one who did her best, which was nice.
