Well, if you're doing it wrong I guess I am too. Same here, OP.

I wouldn't say I like them more, but I definitely like them a lot; I'm very attached. (Bobbi and Mack more-so than Hunter, whose name I can never remember.) Mack is one of my favorites characters on the show right now.

I liked the cast in season one too, but imo everything got better in season two. The show feels more 'natural' now, and the cast fit their characters better.

That's possibly because they're awesome and S2 was superior to S1 in many ways. I love the old characters, too (especially Fitz now), but in no way do the new guys feel like "filler", they are fully developed characters.

I like Mack... or at least I did until this week. I don't know what I feel anymore. Bobbi's pretty good, but Lance just will not click with me. He just won't, he's just too bland for me somehow.

But they did all come in really strong, I don't feel they're thin characters at all.

I don't like Hunter much, but I really like Mack and Bobbi. They're cool. But I also like the S1 people as well(bar Coulson who I've grown tired of), they've gone through changes and have really grown on me as a result.

Add Simmons to that list, and those are my favorites too. I've been watching since episode one.

The S2 peeps are all right but I have grown to hate the original cast except May and Simmons. Coulson has become a bore and the show has taken everything interesting about him and destroyed it. And Skye? I CAN'T STAND HER. Fuck this Inhumans mess. I want her gone from the show more than I want that Agent Two-Face Whoever dude to go and I hated him from episode one.

I really don't like Skye either, I'm irritated about the inhumans thing because now they'll NEVER get rid of her and it's making her the center of interest yet again.

I wouldn't mind Skye so much if they would concentrate more on other characters and remember that it's an ensemble show.

I just wish they'd stop killing people off.

Interesting bad guy, boom, dead. Cool good guy, BOOM, dead. Intriguing gray character, boom, dead.

That said, I really like Mack and Bobbi and Hunter are okay. Of course, I liked almost all of the season 1 characters (I was pretty meh about Skye). But I do feel like almost all of the season 1 characters got more interesting this season (Coulson somehow got more blah).

I was really pissed about Trip being killed off because to me he was one of the more likable characters.

Especially since he died trying to save Skye, whom I am not crazy about :/

I completely understand, Trip was one of my favorites too. (Why couldn't they have also gone the Inhuman route with him?)

The inhuman thing is partially why I am in denial that he's gone. Making Trip inhuman would make for a better twist since with the other two it was pretty much expected it was going to happen.

I still think that might happen, Trip could come back at a later date.

I don't think it's uncommon to end up liking later introduced characters more. Think about popular fandom characters and when they came in, like Spike from Buffy didn't appear until season 2.

I like them a lot (I like everyone except Skye, ugh). Bobbi and Hunter get a little too much focus for newbies that I wish went to May and FitzSimmons, but they're at least fun. And Mack is awesome, so I'm glad to see him get more development.

Bobbi, Mack and Hunter are my favorites too! They have such an easy camraderie that he others somehow never had.

Yeah, the AoS cast is one that really takes time to grow on you before you can care about them, I've found. I didn't discover until the end of S1 that I was actually attached to any of the characters, but I do absolutely adore Fitz and Simmons.

I don't mind Skye and I like May, though I don't care about her (however I think a fair amount of distance between her and the audience is okay, since that's just how she roles).

At first though, I couldn't fucking stand Coulson. I still sometimes think of him as nothing more than a vehicle for Whedon one-liners. He had some good moments by the end.

I do pretty much like all the newer additions though, including those you mentioned.
