Honestly, the fact that they didn't acknowledge it as a possibility in Thor 2 makes me think that they're not going to go that route, and honestly? If they do, despite never mentioning it at all in Thor 2, it'll come off as an asspull imo.

Yea, I kind of agree. If they brought it up now I think it would seem forced. (And random, because why not explore it sooner?)

We don't know everything that went down so god knows what Loki was up to, and I can believe there was some manipulation, but not to the degree some people believe. Loki is perfectly capable of making his own bad decisions.
