Grief varies, I fucking sobbed after watching my cat panicking over being put down but I wouldn't say it was sadder than the deaths of my grandparents even though I barely teared up at those funerals. Sometimes it's more of an ongoing hollow feeling that can unpredictably flare up years after the fact, or it doesn't. The level of outward manifestations doesn't necessarily determine if you're grieving properly and the entertainment industry is A+ at playing to the emotions more intensely than reality.

this is a good comment and you should feel good. everyone grieves or mourns differently, there isn't a right or wrong way to do it.
