This has got to be the most annoyingly formatted secret ever.

ETA: That said, I do agree with you. No doubt about Loki's villainous nature, but it always seemed to me that there was a little more going on with him & they just never did anything with it. It's always annoyed me too.

I think part of it is just the hodge podge nature of the films. Like, they flow together, but the story they're telling are big, money-making adventures about heroes. There's no room for someone else's story, unlike in comics, where Kieron Gillen's Journey Into Mystery is just a fucking gold star of awesome.

The films can never be Loki's story. They can't pull it together like the Preacher comics did with Cassidy and make his single story just as valuable as the over-reaching one. At best, they'll probably kill him off at the end of Infinity War.
