Mm, no. I don't agree. I think it is better than most crime shows. It is not as good as it used to be, but it is still good.

I recently caught the new season and was pretty disappointed. They don't seem to do any profiling anymore, which was one of my favourite aspects of the show. Now it's mostly shots of the unsub, the team looking at crime scenes and making some wild and often unbaised assumptions about the unsub (which the audience knows is right because we just saw the unsub display that behaviour/trait/whatever a minute ago), someone goes "we have a profile", and the next 15 minutes are every cop show ever where they go in guns drawn to apprehend the unsub and save the latest victim.

At this point I only watch for the team interaction and skip most of the actual case stuff. :/

Ehhhhh, how can you delude yourself to this extent? It's a TERRIBLE show. I mean, like AWFUL. It's like a fourteen year old decided to write a cop show and they only recruited middle schoolers to put it together (actors ASIDE). I mean, it is literally one of the worst shows I've ever seen. In my life.

First, I disagree. Second, this is all mostly subjective anyway, so talking about it like it is objectively good or bad is pointless.

Agreed. It has some excellent actors, which helps elevate it a little, but the writing is really not good.

For that genre, it's pretty damn good. I'm not saying it hasn't had its ups and downs, but one of its greatest strengths is excellent casting, fantastic chemistry between the cast members, and a real effort not to lean heavily on cop show stereotypes like the dumb hick cop, the ball buster superior, the super angry dude who gets away with beating up suspects, etc.
