I find it a little suspicious that a lot of the people who used to be involved with My Chem (Bob Bryar, Brian Schechter, Matt Cortez, etc) seemed to be pretty burned out by the band.

I thought Brian left the music industry to pursue a career as a stuntman? He and Gerard have tweeted back-and-forth post-Danger Days, I think. I didn't realize there was drama with Cortez, either.

The Bob stuff is all the more bitter if you rewatch Life on the Murder Scene and everyone goes on about how bringing him in saved the band. :(

They had a falling out. I'm not sure if they fired him or if he quit. I remember reading a rather bitter interview in which Brian mentioned how he was tired of working on others and was going to invest on himself for once, and that's why he was going to become a stuntman.

The band and him seem to have reconciled since then. I'm glad because I think they used to be very close. Gerard mentioned in an interview that before he got clean, when he was in Japan, he had a moment where he he was nearly suicidal and Brian talked with him on the phone for three hours to talk him out of it and convince him to quit drugs.

Bob and the rest seemed to be not only bandmates but also friends : (

Much as I enjoy their music, I have gotten the impression that the core four members of the band- the Way brothers especially- are more than a little prone to drama.
