Firstly, I love your secret, and your 5th point, it made me laugh.

Secondly, this discussion thus far has been good.

Thirdly, I will agree, I think something did happen to Loki with the Chitauri. I mean, he winced when the chitauri leader spoke to him, like he was the Chituari's bitch. My first thoughts were split between "RAPE!" "TORTURE" "OTHER MESSED UP ABUSES OF THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL NATURES!"

So, while not entirely "Clearing" Loki of his choices, because this was some Thor 1 business he never worked out, there is definitely some room to pity him/try to understand things. I almost wish there was a fic that addressed an agent sort of breaking him (a little) during his hold in the helicarrier (preferably someone who knew how to recognize the signs of someone who had been through shit. How the writer deals with it can be any way. But that would be interesting).
