Loved it. Alex did an interview for AvClub, turns out all the hints the fans saw were in fact hints towards the twin. But oh god, the way he was talking, I have a feeling the twin is going to be evil. :(

I'm on board with the 'author twin is the real Stanford' theory. It does make sense, author-Stan lived in Gravity Falls for six years in the mystery shack, so why wouldn't his name be on the deed? Especially since Stan's license plate reads "Stanley" and not "Stanford" Then there's the whole Stan-being-capped-with-Kolus thing, what the shapeshifter said, and so on.

I can't wait until the summer for the second half of the season. Disney sucks at scheduling, bleh!
