If there's truly nothing you can do about it* then it's time to take a deep breath, step back and actively tackle something else over which you DO have some control. It doesn't have to be huge or important, just something you can do by yourself. Clean the house? Re-organize your closet? Bake a batch of cookies? Do that grueling 2 hour workout at the gym? Anything. The key is distracting yourself and giving yourself something else to focus on as well as a task to channel your frustrations.



* Be sure you're right about this, because lots of people are in denial about how much control they do or do not have over their actions and decisions. I don't know your situation, but make sure you're not BSing yourself.
