When the hd remake of X came out and it came with X-2 I actually *tried* the game but in addition to the annoyances I knew I would have I just didn't like the game play. I got bored fast and didn't get very far.

I can understand that. I feel like that game is probably an acquired taste lol

I do have fun with it and enjoy the battle system very much, but, admittedly, it was the first Final Fantasy game I'd ever touched or even heard of - so it holds a pretty special place in my heart! As corny as that is.

I can understand having nostalgia for it if it was your first FF. My problem is I was already a big X fan for years and everything everyone ever told me about X-2 was that it was bad so I avoided it for years. I did really try to keep an open mind but the game play just lost me too quickly.
