Maybe it's just me, but I never picture Elizabeth as getting along well with other women because I imagine her to be one of those "not like other girls" types.

I don't know, because the whole "not like other girls" notion is a faulty one to begin with. There is no "mold". Technically it's true that people are individuals, but the girls who say that are usually mistaken in thinking that they're so individual that they can't/won't be able to relate to other girls and they don't realize that the things they like and the way they feel is probably not unique. They're meeting girls who are "outside the mold" all the time, it's their own limited perspective that makes them think they're alone.

That's weird you would think that since it sounds more like the attitude a lot of PotC fanfic writers have about their shitty OCs in comparison to Elizabeth, not an attitude Elizabeth herself would have.
