Pretending that you just want more representation for platonic friends just makes you look silly. There's nothing wrong with liking platonic friendships. You don't need to have a reason to prefer platonic friendship to slash. The fact that gay romance is way rarer than platonic friendship doesn't make you obligated to slash them either.

I'd agree that platonic friends are maligned compared to het romance, but compared to gay romance???? Seriously??? In what parallel universe?
