Stream (Gargoyles AND Going Postal)

So you guys are terrible and ended up giving me a tie. The good news is that I am terrible and had my weekends mixed up, so I actually do have time to air both things. (Except for Gina who voted against Gargoyles because she wanted to see it at a later date; then there's not really any good news.) That said!

First up, in both good-natured watching and as a tribute to the man himself, an intro to Discworld with the two-part miniseries, Terry Pratchett's Going Postal. Conman gets sentenced to running the city's derelict post office. Fantasy critique of capitalism, big business, and government service as well as a wonderful intro to the massive, sprawling Discworld universe of 40+ novels.



Then watch as as mega-billionaire, David Xanatos (yes, THAT Xanatos), moves an ancient Scottish castle to the top of a skyscraper of Manhattan thus breaking a thousand year old sleeping curse of the gargoyles who lived there.



I debated making it a double Pratchett night but decided to stick to the original options. Plus that means I can always show Colour of Magic and Hogfather later.

Dude, my tumblr username is theclacks. If anyone ever has first (and eternal) dibs on Going Postal, it is me.

You can always have a night with the four part Macbeth/Demona City of Stone episodes. God. I was rewatching through some after my initial post and it's so not fair how good and detailed and backstoried some of the later episodes are and I CAN'T SHOW THEM because fully getting who's who and what's what requires, like, twelve different episodes of lead in. And that's just the basics let alone full character development spectrum.

I might push it a bit after the first five and also show Enter Macbeth and The Mirror if people are up for it because Macbeth and Puck are ~amazing~. I also love Fox, but I think those are pushing it as is.
