I think I might be a bit of a sadist. :( I always fall for the over-the-top, abusive evil guys in fiction, and I have since I was a little girl. I don't know what gets me, I suppose it's the power they hold (or in some cases, the illusion of power).

I've always been a sucker for villains and the more cruel (yet charismatic) the better. It's definitely the power plays and possibilities for screwed up relationships (of any variety). But I loathe Spandam.

I know what you mean, but surely there has to be a limit somewhere? I mean, Spandam is such an irredeemably shitty asshole who only ever looks out for himself and himself alone.

I just cannot fathom a guy like that hitting any kink whatsoever.

There are other villains though, who don't quite come across as so loathsomely self-serving, who I can sort of understand having a bit of a kink for.

Spandam is one of my favorite villains in the series because of his over-the-top evilness and incompetence, but also because his smack-down is so incredibly satisfying after everything he put Robin through. So I don't like him, just like the way he was defeated. :P

What do you make of the other One Piece villains then? Most are OTT evil and abusive, aren't they? Like Crocodile in Vivi's arc, Enel, the Celestial Dragons...
