What is this and is it any good?

A character from a Japanese visual novel/game. It's about a group of people locked up by a maniac forced to solve puzzels. It's pretty good but has a lot of twists so if you have any intention of playing it don't look up spoilers.

It's a ds game so it depends. Do you have a ds?

Yeah, I do - just a regular one, though, not a 3DS.

999 is on the DS. It's sequel(s?) is on the 3DS, though. But 999 is more or less complete as is, IIRC, so not being able to play the sequel shouldn't be a big deal. >_>

It was only released in Japan and America, so if you're European, you'll habe to import it, but thankfully DS games aren't region locked (3DS's are, however they'll still playing non-same Region DS carts, but not non-same 3DS carts). Amazon and eBay should have copies.

And then get related game, Virtues Last Reward for the 3DS.

It's a DS game but there's a iOS version, unfortunately it only includes the novel sections but not the puzzles.
