I ship both of these pairings but I still feel your pain because I too hate it when fandoms will have a bunch of fics with a pairing that I like and then about half of those fics have a side pairing that I hate.

Yeah, personally, I ship Miles/Phoenix and don't care about the other two because I never played their game(s) but I get what you mean. It sucks when a juggernaut ship gets so popular people assume it's just there and insert it in the background all the time. I had this problem with Clint/Coulson and Clint/Natasha - fics that weren't about them but featured the whole MCU Avengers cast had one of those two ships as the token background ship a lot and since I don't like either one... eh.

Well, I ship Edgeworth/Phoenix but I definitely understand the frustration of searching through fics where the one your looking for isn't just a side pairing.

This is kinda why I hate multishipping because it's just frustrating when your looking for just one ship and you have to deal with other ships alongside it.

Yeah, Klapollo fic totally tends to have Phoenix/Edgeworth in the background, if not as already the main feature. Not that the first is unpopular ofc.

I ship Phoenix/Edgeworth like burning, but I understand your frustration. I'm not huge on Apollo/Klavier (although I don't mind it) but if that showed up in every P/E fic I read, I'd get annoyed too. I have seen a lot of fic that had both P/E and A/K, so I can totally see why it bugs you.

Oh my god I know exactly what you mean! I only casually ship Klavier/Apollo but Edgewright is practically notp for me (for the record I honestly cannot ship either of them with anyone), but it seems like for the rest of the fandom you can't have one without the other :(

Me too. Then add the double bonus of not being into Athena/Blackquill. I do a lot of mental cencorship when I read fic :/

Eh, I don't ship P/E at all, either.
(I could ship Apollo/Klavier if only I could find Klavier's character slightly more interesting than a potted plant, but sadly it's not the case.)

I honestly don't ship either, but it's way harder than it feels it should be to avoid Edgewright, the biggest notp of them all for me.
