Ahh, a Balto secret! This was one of my favourite animated productions when I was a child. I liked the third part a little less 'cause it had this weird Russian dub, but the first and the second ones felt amazing to watch.

I know the romance plot is cliche-y and all that, but actually, I loved the historical references and the atmosphere way more than the character interactions.

The scene where Aleu first meets the lemming spirit guide and they have that song is still one of my favourite things ever.

Yup. I know animated sequels get a lot of hate, but Wolf Quest had so much I enjoyed about it. The spiritual aspects of 1 & 2 were just captivating.

I love Balto, but I've never seen the sequels. Obviously they're direct-to-video, so I'm not expecting theatrical Disney-esque quality but I take it they're worth checking out?
