i feel like fandomsecrets is too insular. i know some fsers hate tumblr, has anybody tried advertising us on there? i know plenty of people who grew up on tumblr and don't know about livejournal/dreamwidth and the confession blogs for my fandoms are pretty dead.

pretty sure when people say "tumblr" they use it to mean "tumblr sjw"

i don't think people have anything against tumblr itself. lots of tumblr users here

I'm not against reaching out to people there though. As long as the people who come here aren't obnoxious (at least in a bad way).

Yeah, I don't like tumblr because it feels too much like twitter to me, without the character limit. At the same time, I know people who use it pretty much because they "have" to as it's the only fannish space they've got left, so maybe I should point them here.

Twitter just seems completely pointless to me. It always just seemed like a lesser Facebook. Of course, then people started to use it for fannish things, but that makes it feel like a lesser Tumblr.

I hate that people feel Tumblr is the only fannish space. But maybe eventually they'll move on to the next shiny thing, and it will be a better shiny thing. :3

I disagree with some of the choices he's made recently regarding freezing threads, but overall yes.

I still don't see the point of inviting more even ridiculous self righteous wank than we already have. F!S is already becoming less and less of a welcoming space for discussion (while ironically criticizing Tumblr for the same thing), so why bring in a subgroup that are only interested in starting shit? Bring in groups who are interersted in rational discussion all you want, but that isn't SJWs.

Eh, I'm not going to hold it against kids for making assess of themselves on the internet. A good round of booing and hissing in their direction for sucking is healthy for growing up into a based internet person. Plus we're gentle as fuck tbh.
