The main Harry Potter sites like mugglenet would have a listing of EVERY FAN SITE in fandom. And they'd be ranked. And the fansites would have their members activity go and upvote their site every day because the higher up on the list you got, the more people would see you/potentially join. And so on and so forth.
I'd completely forgotten.
