I started visiting in 2010, so around 5 years ago.

I think I started around 2010-2011. I remember it because a certain show came on around then. I stopped for a year but have since found my way back again.

When I first came to FS there hadn't been comment threads for each secret yet, however long ago that was. FS was a lot more confusing and wankier back then.

Oops, didn't see this before I commented.

It's weird to think back on how disorganized f!s used to be. Not that the comm wasn't still great, but it's a lot more refined now.

Now that you mention it, I think I vaguely remember that.

That was a nightmare. The comment thread for each secret is so much easier.

I don't know the year, but before each secret got their own thread. (People used to put the secret numbers they were commenting on in the subject line and place all their comments in one post. Things are so different now.)

I think I started in fall 2010. I was living with my now-best-friend as a roommate; it was the first semester we roomed together. I had recently gotten into fandom as a hobby and an escape from the way my life kind of fell apart the previous semester (not entirely, but I lost two things that were really, really important to me in close succession, and it sucked) and had made an LJ, and she showed me this comm. I participated for maybe a year, or maybe a bit less; got dogpiled over some HP wank, went away for probably about another year, then came back and haven't left.

...shit. that's more than four years since I started. cumulative still probably between 3 and 4 though.

Late 2009 I'm pretty sure. I took a few weeks off in 2010 during my internship, and I pretty much disappeared entirely for six months the following year while I was working 2nd shift at the paper. And then when it switched to DW I was like "nah kid" and then I realized fuck it what else was I gonna do with my time?

I don't participate much since every time I post a secret it either gets no response or causes a bunch of wank, but I've taken to reading Page 2 since it's easier to keep up with than F_FA and occasionally people talk about fandoms I'm interested in.

I was definitely here in 2009 and possibly may have started in late 2008 but more likely early 2009. I got the impression there had been a wave of secrets related to TDK and the Joker and I definitely missed that, but I know I had already been here for a while by late 2009 when I was going to the library in the little town I was staying in for work just so I could get internet access and check FS.

Since about a year after the comm was made on lj? I didn't get an account until 2008 iirc, and it to do with getting access to locked porn posts more than anything, so I was anon until then.

I'd say I've been off and on since about 2008.

Start of 2009 I think. Or end of 2008. Didn't really get into it until end 2010.
