Oh man, riding a bike is great. It's never too late to learn! Hit up your local bike shop and ask them to teach you!

Actually, one of my friends co-owns the local bike shop. I've never actually asked him though.

I've tried a few times, but I'm not the most coordinated person and the result was blood and the destruction of innocent mailboxes.

Ouch. I can understand an aversion to bicycling after that. There's still the tried and true method of learning to ride on a lawn though.
