I find it suspect that a large portion of tumblr was writing off the show and boycotting it due to being racist (though none of them specified what the issue was), yet none of these people are anywhere near as critical of their favorite shows starring attractive white dudes with barely any POC in sight. It was like the Frozen boycott all over again.

It'd just be nice if some of the folks on tumblr DIDN'T attack the very few shows or films that star women, while letting the myriad of male driven series/movies get away with murder.

I find it weird that people on this comm always assume that the kind of Tumblrina who wants to boycott Frozen or Agent Carter is also the kind of Tumblrina who obsesses over white cock. Wouldn't the first kind be more the type to hate on white cock for SJW brownie points?

I checked the blogs of people making text posts about how racist Agent Carter is and, lo and behold, white cock everywhere.

I can confirm this. They don't have any problem with a cast full of white men, but the moment it's one white woman...

It just seems like cherry picking tbh. You can find hypocrites in every movement, but it doesn't make it a trend within the movement.

There have always been people in fandom who say that they prefer (white) male characters over characters of color and female characters by claiming that they just can't possibly like characters that were so badly or stereotypically written; this is simply the current iteration of that. That that group sometimes intersects with the group that's genuinely concerned about how POC and women are being portrayed doesn't necessarily reflect on either group. Contrary to what SJWs circa 2011 liked to chant, intent and context do matter.

What movement? The point is I see a lot more of "don't watch this show/movie because racism" posts for series that star women (like Frozen, then Lucy, now AC) pop up on my dash than ones about male-driven ones. I've never even seen the latter situation ever happen. I'm just going by my own experience here.

SLASH. It's all about the slash. White cock slash. That's why those shows get a major pass.

wTF?
I see more positie review of Agent Carter on tumblr than in any other place...

This is what I've seen. I've seen some people wishing there could be more diversity in AC, but not to the point that they want to ban it. Though, admittedly, I've only dipped my toe into the AC fandom because it seems a bit...intense.

The hypocrisy I've seen most of in regards to AC fandom is some people being self-righteous and angry about wanting more diversity in media (not the "I really wish there were more diversity in media" types but the "these creators are HORRIBLE and RACISTS for not having more diversity" types). But then they want AC to replace AoS.
