Come to think of it, is assisted suicide a liberal or conservative idea? Or do neither of them want anything to do with it? (Personally, I feel like it beats the alternative.)

Mostly liberal I think? At least, the extreme right is very against it (considers it murder). Even taking away feeding tubes is considered murder to the extreme right.

It's generally a liberal idea though, at least in the US, both sides are more inclined to be against it.
