Recent onslaught of Sweeney Todd secrets- CRY MOAR. Blah!!

39- You're not less of a fan for liking the movie and you shouldn't let the elitist fans get to you. It's not even like this movie is getting panned by critics and the general public. It's been very well received. It's a good movie.

9- Omg Kekkaishi.

38- I'm a big fan of his too but I sort of keep quiet for the same reasons. I just think he's a great film-maker. *shrug*

Normally this stuff doesn't bother me, you know? But for some reason with my Sondheim love it's different. Heh, maybe on some level I feel like Sondheim fandom is meant for elitists. ;p

Pft. My mother is the biggest sondhiem fangirl ever, she fucking dialect coached the kennedy center production and met the man, and she liked the movie. Felt it could have been improved here and there, but felt that it was overall a solid production.

My parent's wedding invitations had a parody of the original poster art on it. We own an apron (from said kennedy center production) which says Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pies on it.

If fans of the broadway version THAT hardcore can like the movie... then I think the broadway elitist idiots need to stfu. So you didn't like it. Well, some of us did.
