The hilarious thing is, I consider myself a hardcore Sondheim fan. I nitpick at revivals liek woah and overanalyze all his musicals madly. And I don't have the raging hate-on for the movie that these people seem to. :O

I didn't know so many existed! But man, one or two secrets pop up and suddenly Sweeney Todd is serious business. (I'm kinda glad I only see it in F!S though. But then I don't hang around any of the fandom comms).

You're telling me. I only joined this community this week and it's made me supremely glad that I don't hang around fandom communities.

Yeah, ever since the movie came out, there's just been like...a flood of secrets and comments and I'm just like "o_o wow." I'm surprised to see people getting so worked up over a movie adaptation. Especially when it's not even the first one.

My flist has been pretty sane about it. It was just "eh, I didn't like it" or "Yeah, it was cool" and that was about it.
