Geez calm down! Nowhere did the OP of 41 compare the anime to the manga. And frankly, if someone wants to like an anime with bad art and bad plot, that's their choice. I love Romeo x Juliet and I think that compared to other anime I watch the art sucks and the plot was a serious let down. I still love it. And neither the OP of 41 or 47 made it out to seem like they think themselves suprior. Yes, Kuro/Fai is practically canon with all the subtext CLAMP puts in, but we all know that at the end of the day those women are laughing themselves silly at how much they tease us. Some people don't ship something unless it's completely confirmed, and Kuro/Fai and Axel/Roxas are not.

Reactions like this is why those secrets were even posted.

What, and Touya/Yukito is? For all we know, it's one-sided Yukito > Touya, in CCS.

Dunno about Axel/Roxas, but it's the same concept. That because a bunch of fans ARE stupid about slash pairings, then ALL of them have to be blind idiots who think any pairing they love is uber canon and don't understand real friendship (not the case for KF, sorry).

Romeo and Juliet isn't based in a manga, right? It's a different thing. It's not like Tsubasa is a masterpiece, but if you're gonna whine about how any pairing is or isn't, then don't do it when you've only watched the moronic, watered down, kid-friendly version of it that is the anime.

I never said anything about Touya/Yukito and neither did the OP. Though having just read CCS the other day, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that Yukito/Touya is canon. But that's not what the secrets were about.

Honestly, I've felt like that myself sometimes over other pairings. There's romantic love and there's platonic love and sometimes people just mix the two and call it a day. Yes the wording on 41 is rather all inclusive, but only when viewed as such. Jumping on the OP's case is only going to perpetuate that opinion.

It's one crap anime compared to another crap anime, it doesn't matter that one had a manga to precede it. Why can't Tsubasa be the OP's favorite anime despite it's crappiness? Sure, it sounds like they haven't read the manga, but maybe they have and still appreciate the anime. It's like when books are turned into movies. People get themselves all wound up over how the movie doesn't live up to the book. The movies can still be appreciated separately, crappy as it is.

I know it is. But if you see, the OP is also the OP of secret #4. And they're saying Yuki/Touya are canon. When they barely show up in Tsubasa, and DON'T have a canon declaration in CCS.

I'm not saying it's not canon - I'm pointing out how in CLAMP-verse, you can't go with the same rules as in other mangas. You won't know that a couple is in love because they actually say it out loud or because they kiss each other, most of the time, which is something you would be able to see in other series.

If #41's OP had just said 'I prefer them as friends', then it'd be fine. But they worded it as if everyone shipping it was a stupid fanbrat who only ships them 'cause it's two boys.

It can be their favorite anime, but they can't make a judgement on Kuro and Fye's relationship - not an accurate one. Most of the important stuff regarding all five main charas happens AFTER the anime timeline, so it's ridiculous. It's like saying you ship Harry/Hermione because Ron is a moron in the movies - you can like the movies, but it won't mean that a judgement based solely in them will be way less informed.

I agree with you there, especially with how CLAMP loves to mess with us. I mean, the last chapter of TRC? FTW CLAMP?

Yes, it was worded badly. Sticks and stones. If someone throws something at you because they think you're mean you're only going to reinforce it by throwing something back.

So their judgement is inaccurate and less informed. They're not going to be convinced otherwise by being jumped on.

You don't need to apologise for not shipping it. It's just, I do agree, the way you worded it was a little...off. It sounded like you were saying 'Anyone who ships Kurogane/Fai is clearly just doing it for the buttsex'. Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but I think some people may have taken it that way. (I like the pairing, but I'm not shipping it because of buttsex potential. I think it's a really touching relationship, however you look at it and it makes me smile.)

I also have to agree with jlarinda's opinion on the anime. It is quite poor. I mean, if you enjoy it, then enjoy it, but it's not the best quality and Season 2 is just...well, they created a lot of plotholes for themselves by running away with the fillers. (Which was amusing in itself.)

I do recommend, however, if you enjoyed the anime you give the manga a go. It's not the most fantastic story in the world (whilst I'm at it, I'd recommend xxxHOLiC. That's really good.), but the manga is lot more detailed and involving than the anime. Also, you may get to see the KF shippers pov, as in the manga there is more emphasis on their relationship (however you see it.). I'd recommend reading it if you like the characters more than anything, because they get so much more development in the manga. <3
