Text: This scene made me cry so hard I had to leave the movie theater.

(To be fair, I was around seven at the time.)

I have a great relationship with my parents, but I've always been afraid of letting them down. I can't help but wonder if this movie is partially responsible for that.

Still, this movie makes me cry whenever it gets to Goofy finding out what Max did.

Basically Goofy wanted to go on this whole long trip he'd had planned for them, and Max changed the route on him to go to this concert of a really popular artist.

Goofy got upset both because Max lied to him [after he decided to show he trusted Max by letting him have the map/handle navigating], and because it was a sentimental trip to places he'd been with Max so that also made the whole thing worse for him [Goofy].

This movie and Max's sentiment about how embarrassing his father is to him and Goofy finding out always made me cry. Looking back, I think it almost made me not want to be embarrassed of my parents, who love me very much, just as Goofy loved Max.

This movie made me cry too. I was 11 when it came out, and watching Max treat his dad like crap when I would have killed for a father who cared that much about me was really upsetting.
