It's gotten to the point where I notice when "lose" is actually written correctly. Proper spelling is not supposed to be distracting but here we are.

I had a teacher once who had this as a pet peeve, so she made us do sentences and stuff with them over and over.

I never had trouble with them before that, but now I keep getting them mixed up because of those assignments. It's really, really annoying.
