He's really not that cool to me. Roose does significantly better because pulling that shit while maintaining an impassive, untouchable exterior is way more "magnificent" than playing cuckoo headgames and throwing tantrums. Cold and calculated is superior to bold and impulsive.

And regardless of morality/motivation, playing the long-game (Roose, Littlefinger, Tywin, Varys, Doran Martell) will always get you farther than the short-game (Ramsay, Renly, Oberyn, Viserys, Robb). In fact, that could describe Theon's whole series arc in one sentence, as he does both.

It was a joke, but Roose is definitely the superior villain among the Boltons.
