There are nuances to trash, but at its core it's saying that your love for the thing is disproportionate to how good the thing is. Like the others said, it's a way of letting people know that you know the thing is flawed, but you love it and are invested in it anyways... perhaps to and improper or embarrassing extent.

It can also indicate that you know that most people think that the thing is bad or wrong, but you still like it, or perhaps that you like it because it's bad and wrong. There's a whole spectrum of trash meanings, from eco-friendly compost heap to medical and toxic waste.

It's almost like writing "I know this sucks I'm sorry" in the summary or tags on your fic.

Hydra Trash Party is a group of people who are really into the Hydra organization from the Marvel Universe. They write things like non-con and guro, much of it doubling as Bucky whump.
