I really liked Sylar but I agree with you about the not killing him off thing. I think part of the downfall of heroes was their attachment to the original cast and refusal to kill the characters off (and if they did kill them, they would just give them 5 million twins) when they should have been investing time in new characters and gotten rid of some of the old ones when the plot demanded it.
