I've only been clubbing once, and I hated it. But I love clubbing songs. You don't have to relate to something to enjoy it.

Text: Some of my favourite songs have lyrics that seem to have nothing to do with me.

I know songs are more than lyrics, and people can like things they don’t directly relate to.

But I get the irrational feeling I’m “doing it wrong” when it’s songs. Only songs. Like I’m co-opting.
