Hiddleston and Bumbersnatch fans have made me nervous every time a British male actor starts gaining popularity.

I can only speak for myself, but I tend to be a bit of an Eeyore, and I like happy extroverts as an antidote. As a result I kind of adore Tom Hiddleston. I'm not even sure it's a proper crush, I just think he's pretty and a ray of sunshine and I find his enthusiasm endearing.

Definitely not watching Hannibal for Armitage, though. Or any other reason.

In the case of Hiddleston (who I'm a fan of) and Cumberbatch (who I'm indifferent to) I think it's because people in the US at least think they depict a sort of classic 'Britishness' i.e. posh and rich. Obviously in reality 0.001% of people are like them.

LOL, I thought that was Chilton at first and was going to say I'm surprised the love explosion over him is just now hitting your dash when it happened last season for me. This sort of thing is bound to happen when someone with a big following gets cast, and I can see how it would be annoying to wade through a zillion posts about him while other characters get ignored, but it gets more people paying attention to the show. And it's probably okay to go into it with no warm and fuzzy feelings about Dolarhyde, haha.

Hannibal fandom seems to have a certain type they like. Fair skinned, dark haired and blue eyed. Will, Chilton and now this guy.

Who knows, maybe that's Fuller's type too....

Maybe it's only a temporary thing, though? When the characters get new material they'll probably be drawn back in and post about them more. (...The ones who live, anyway.)

I hate to be that person, but I'm psyched about Armitage being in Hannibal. I can't help it...he's my weakness.

That said, I don't follow Hannibal fandom closely so I've seen none of this.
