While it's true that Cas is now a major character and gets a lot of screentime, the boys are still pretty front and center. And Sam-and-Dean's relationship is still just as rocky, messy, and melodramatic as it's been for the past few seasons.
Though if you're really just in it for the brothers, I guess it would seem more scattered, the way it is now.
