More a lizard-marsupial, actually. Male Narns like G'Kar have a pouch that they suckle/protect their children in until they are old enough to be weened. Maybe longer than that. They didn't go into depth in the show, really. But, yeah, I'm super into aliens with pouches now thanks to him. Everything should have a pouch.
