Have they even seen The Princess and the Frog?

OK, the guy isn't Anglo-Saxon, he's ambiguously north African southwest Asian east African Archipelagic vaguely Balkan subcontinental a gypsy from the Moon, but the female lead is very definitely black, and gets to be the princess.

Seriously, he's meant to be pretty ambiguous, from a fictitious country. Is it more like Syria, Iran, Albania, Brazil, Goa, or Zanzibar? Um, sure, whatever.

Why an Anglo-Saxon love interest for a non-white woman is better? I´m happy(as a POC) with the POC female being the "princess". I don´t give a rat ass if she bang a black, white, latino, etc dude and actually I rather don´t have romance at all. I don´t watch that show so I don´t know the context I admit.
