Twat and cunt don't seem to be gendered the way bitch is. I feel like they're underused as gender-neutral insults.

They are slang for female genitalia. And before you say they are also used as insults toward men, that doesn't make it better. It just means that being called something associated with women is an insult (like pussy). That is not a good thing. And it is different from calling someone a dick, because even though it's an insult, a lot of people like penises. I'm not saying that everyone who uses cunt or twat dislike them, but that's where the insults come from. And, yes, in the UK, twat means something else too, but the other meaning doesn't just go away.

So you are solving that problem by acting like twats are way worse then dicks?

I'm not solving any problem. I'm just saying that I think that cunt and twat come with more baggage because of their association with women since women have been and still are denigrated for being their gender while men, for the most part, are not.

Yes, I trying to answer every counter-argument I've heard:

"I call everyone twat, regardless of their gender." - That doesn't make an insult gender-neutral. Asshole is gender-neutral because everyone has one.

"People don't seem to mind dick and if cunt and twat are gendered, so is dick." - Yes, dick is gendered but it doesn't have the same baggage. Women, both for their gender and sexuality, have been and still are disparaged. Men, for the most part, not so much.

"Twat doesn't just mean that." Yes, it has other meanings, but guess which one people are using as an insult. Just like fag is not just a bundle of sticks or a cigarette.

If you don't have an issue with it, that's your prerogative, but I do. And so do some other people.

Oh, and about vaginas not being 100% reviled, yeah, no, not 100%, but if you've never heard people (both men and women) call them ugly or gross or alien-looking or other derogatory things, be glad.

So people from the UK or who learnt British English should stop saying twat because people from other parts of the world might be offended? Okay then. I always like to censor my language to try and make it acceptable in every country in the world. (Spoiler alert: I don't.)
