As someone born and raised in the South, I have a hard time understanding it sometimes. That is why I picked it out of all the ones I could think of.

And I thought Kelantanese was hard to understand. Is that even English? It sounds more like French to me.

Actually, yes! Cajuns live in Louisiana which has a huge French population (though most these days are second/third generation).

Cajuns were original from the French speaking part of Canada but were kicked out. They immigrated to Louisianan and their language mixed with the local tongues and transformed into what you hear now.
