Sexuality labels, biphobic assholes

I hate the pansexual label. Fuck you, I'm bisexual and I'm attracted to transgender and agender people as well as CIS gendered people. Pansexuals try to act their label is the only one that covers attraction to non-CIS gendered people when that's not true. And, I've seen people say if you claim the bisexual label, you're transphobic. Fuck that.

Well, hey man, a lot of bisexual people do only like people who present and identify as "traditionally" masculine or feminine. There's nothing necessarily wrong with having that kind of sexual preference.

It also kind of seems like you have no reason not to call yourself pansexual as it stands, so why not chill out a little?

I think people should be able to label themselves. I label myself as bisexual because what attracts me to men and what attracts me to women are different. I have specific types for both. That's what bisexual means to me, so I'd never use pansexual for myself. But clearly bisexual means something different for you, and that's okay. People should be allowed to label themselves and define what that means for them.

I will never understand why people feel the need to have the pansexual label for exactly the reason you listed. There are straight people who aren't attracted to trans people and there are straight people who are. The ones who are don't have a special extra label to separate them from the ones who aren't, so why do bisexuals need to have one?

which is funny because if -anyone's- transphobic, it's the assholes saying "I'm pansexual cause I would date a trans person!" I would venture to guess most trans people are binary, men or women, so yeah why -wouldn't- a bisexual date them, dear pansexy? thanks for third-gendering trans people!

Yeah, the chronic biphobia expressed among pan people makes me want to disavow pansexual as an adjective.
