(Anonymous) 2015-03-25 02:52 am (UTC)(link)Well, I guess if you really wanna punish someone, you might as well go all the way. Heavy corporal punishment is really supported by a lot of people down here, even by non-Muslims, so it's really saying something when a wole new set of laws causes THIS much reaction in parliament.
More cynically, I think some of our politicians (both Muslim and non) like to do some cronyism on the side, so that's another reason to oppose it.
