Non verbal, kinda, but autistic? What traits did Groot display that made you think "autism"? I'm glad it helped you, OP, but I'm not sure I see it.

Yeah, I mean, if interpreting him that way helps you, by all means! If you see yourself in him, rock on!

But I'm not sure he displays any traits that I'd associate with an autistic person. After all, he's not choosing to only say three words, it's a physical, not a mental, disability. And he seems perfectly social and all, idk..

Exactly, everything that came off of him non-verbally indicated that he has no other social difficulties other than speech. Basically, closer to someone who is mute and doesn't know sign language than autistic.
